Koei is a gold and silver leaf printing company based in Kyoto.
For Koei, I designed a collection of 4 patterns using the silver leaf printing technique in 2 different ways: one is using one color leaf as a powder and the other is randomly throwing colored flakes of leaves onto the previously printed glue onto the fabric. These patterns were printed on twill and silk organza but they can also be printed on a wide range of other textiles.

光映は、京都に拠点を置く金彩友禅の工房です。
2つの異なる銀彩の技術を使用し、4つの模様をデザインしました。1つは一色の粉末状の 銀粉を使用したもの。そしてもう1つは生地に置かれた糊の上に色のついた箔をふりかけ たものです。この模様はシルクツイルとシルクオーガンザに施されましたが、他のさまざ まなテキスタイルにも応用することができます。
